Before joining DAC, Buck served more than 25 years in higher education administration at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Abilene Christian University in Texas, and Daytona State College. He pioneered one of the nation’s first “one-stop shops” for student services, advanced the use of social media for student engagement, and led enrollment and marketing initiatives that expanded visibility, affordability, and diversity. At Daytona State College, he oversaw a broad range of student services for more than 30,000 students across six campuses. He later transitioned into nonprofit leadership as Executive Director of Halifax Urban Ministries, where he spearheaded programs that provided thousands of meals, food bags, and housing solutions for families, children, and veterans in Volusia County.
Today, Buck leads the Domestic Abuse Council with a focus on safety, healing, and hope for survivors of domestic violence. Under his leadership, DAC continues to provide life-saving shelter, advocacy, and trauma-informed care, while partnering with community organizations to strengthen prevention and education. His unwavering commitment to building resilient families and communities reflects both his professional expertise and his heart for service.
